Very very impressed with the food here. The interior décor is impressive and staff were very attentive. We had an evening here as a group of 11. All who attended were equally impressed. Prices are very fair too. Definitely a recommendation from me.
Oh wow, what has happened?! We have been coming religiously here since it opened for our day trips to Bath and have always had a fantastic experience, so what a let down our most recent visit was. Firstly, having booked our table several weeks in advance, we were presented with a lunch menu, not the usual menu. We were informed this was due to the build up to Christmas, so there were no starters available. They offered to do us a breadboard as a starter - this was a selection of rubbery, unpalatable bread with some balsamic. Nevermind, we had our cocktails. Almost in the same breath as presenting us with the breadboard our main course arrived. The waitress did offer to 'put them on the hot plate for a bit' - not ideal really although perhaps I should be commending them for their quick service - but we didn't relish the thought of a dried out warmed burger so took them. We then hardly saw a member of staff, trying to identify one to order drinks, and having saw fit not to leave a tip on this basis were faced with the surly comments of one of the waitresses which is really what made up my mind to post this review. It's such a shame and I hope this was just the outcome of a busy pre-Christmas saturday and not the result of a change for good.

Friendly pub with lots of different events. Has pool teams and darts teams. Food is nice. Drink choice is good as well.
A really nice 'old style' inner city local pub. On the Cask-Marque Ale trail with some justification, the Otter this day was perfect and the warm Scotch Eggs are worth investigating, very spicy. Watched the England/Australia rugtby game, in a not crowded bar. Friendly locals and land-lord. Worth a visit

Great traditional pub, fun staff and of course the beer is wonderful (it's owned by the local brewery).
Nice quaint pub with good service. Good choice of own brand drinks. Food there is really nice. Not the biggest of pubs.
