Cyclestreets.net is a brilliant little website for bicyclists. Just enter where you are and where you want to go and it will take you a proper cyclists route, tell you the distance, how quiet or otherwiseit will be and how many calories you will burn completing it.
This is extraordinary. You can actually choose a route to avoid unnecessary hills. Excellent for the part-time cyclist!

Bicycle Shops or Bicycle Accessories Outlets or Cycle Repairers

Julian House Bike Workshop

35 Corn St, Bath BA1 1UF, UK – 01225 463350

Very helpful, friendly and profesional staff. My bike was not only serviced but I also received a masterclass on how to repair the bike myself. Excellent place 100% recommended

Fantastic service. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Walked out with a bargain bike within 30 mins of entering

Cadence Bike Shop

9 Chelsea Rd, Bath BA1 3PP, UK – 01225 446887

My first experience was excellent. I bought a Mavic wheelset which arrived when Cadence said they would. They even shipped them on to my home address as I am 25 miles from their shop. Very friendly and professional service. Great communication. Really easy to do business with. My new local bike ship.

I think of all the bike shops in Bath that I have visited these guys have the best technical knowledge and clearly are keen cyclists themselves. I've never walked away from Cadence without having had my query solved. A good selection of bikes, parts and cycling apparel helps makes this one of the best cycling stores in Bath.

Johns Bikes

82-84 Walcot St, Bath BA1 5BD, UK – 01225 581666

These guys really helped me out when an annoying puncture struck on my commute home. Excellent shop with Excellent staff. Highly Recommend!!

Have nothing but good things to say about John's Bikes. Bought my trusty Trek from them over 10 years ago and they have maintained it for me ever since. I upgraded the saddle about a year ago and it became dis-attached today. Popped to the shop and the lovely guy re-attached it for free. Their follow up service is second to none - more of a cyclist community (for normal people as well as hardened cyclists) where you can ask advice and get support. Can't recommend highly enough.

Cycle Hire

Green Park Bike Station

Unit 9, Green Park Station, Green Park Rd, Bath BA1 1JB, UK – 01225 920148

Tom is a very diligent and competent bike mechanic who services bikes as though they were his own. Very competitively priced too, I have no hesitation recommending Tom.

Tom is always friendly and helpful and does a very thorough job on his servicing and repairs. I would (and do) recommend him to fellow cyclists.

Take Charge Bikes

1 Victoria Buildings, Lower Bristol Rd, Bath BA2 3EH, UK – 01225 789568

Very friendly, helpful and my bike runs smoothly now. Also service is pretty well immediate, not like another shop in Bath who gave me a 3 week waiting time to repair my bike. I am glad they are busy, but when you use your bike daily, go to Take Charge and get it done quickly. Always been happy with the service here, but not yet bought an electric bike, just used for servicing my Pashley gents bike and a Giant Defy road bike.

Wide selection of ebikes including components and accessories. The owner was very helpful and pleasant.

Keeping fit, it's a great thing.
