This Premier Inn is in a great location. I booked the accessible room as we were travelling with bikes. But this Premier Inn has not been updated to feature all the new Premier Inn standards. The room i booked didn't have the usual separate twin beds and the double that was in the room was well below the size that the modern inns have. I have contacted Premier Inn to get updated but double check before you book! We did not get the "Good Night Guaranteed". However this incident would not stop me coming here again if ever in Stroud again. I would make sure that rooms are the updated version.
Upon arrival we were made very welcome by the lady on reception, in fact all the staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay in room 105. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious with a extremely comfy bed, excellent tv and a large en suite with a good shower with plenty of room. The windows had good double glazing which meant the room was very peaceful at night. Plenty of space to park in the large free car park. Would certainly use Premier Inn again.

Great apart from the restaurant. Splendid outside seating area, where we had a drink and saw some delicious looking fish and chips and other pub food being delivered to other tables. Comfy outdoor seating, with plenty of shade, if desired. Sadly we were eating in the restaurant, which has a strange menu put together by someone who has given no though to whether things items taste well together. I would particularly recommend avoiding the mushroom ravioli. I have had better from a supermarket packet and equal quality out of a tin. Plus it inexplicably came with a pile of rocket on top that was drizzled with balsamic vinegar, and then a light sprinkle of cheese over the lot. The chocolate tort was passable for a frozen dessert, but was inexplicably joined by a raspberry coulis and a lemon sorbet. Bizarre. In summary: If you want a nice meal stay outside, and just pop in to visit the bears.
Fantastic hidden gem I didn't know existed. Was a great motorcycle ride out around the Cotswolds area and stopped here for a drink and some food. The place very well kept, clean and tidy. Fast service and reasonably priced, although it was busy there was plenty of family activities and seating to keep everyone happy. Would defiantly go again.

We stayed one night here and were very happy with our room and kitchen. The beds were extremely comfy and the bathroom well fitted. The kitchen/living room was a delightful space to relax and cook in, the self catering aspect certainly saved us some money too!
Great place to meet up with a group of friends. The room with the large table allowed us to have a meal together and the local Indian takeaway that delivered was a find. We were pleased to see that our room was dog friendly and next time we will bring her with us as the walk along the canal was so convenient. Rooms were all slightly different which was cool and really well equipped we will certainly visit again and will tell our friends.

A really great discovery (for us). Great food, I had the mushroom gnocchi which was extremely tasty indeed and home made. The views from here on a late spring evening were beautiful. Highly recommended. One star that might have been deducted was for the noisy (irritating) kitchen extractor fan outside which is very audible in the garden area. You do eventually manage to blank it out and enjoy the place but if they repaired or replaced that fan then I would happily give the place 6 stars if I could do!
Nice pub. Great scenery. Good food. Outdoor/ indoor seating, bar and lounge. Nice walks.

This is such a lovely little pub. They do super food but only at the weekends. If somebody wanted to book for a party, maybe, mid-week, they would try to facilitate it if possible. They are a friendly bunch. The landlord is the chef and the Landlady is out front of house. Such a lovely couple.
Super tasty pub for Sunday lunch! They have a dessert menu to die for- so much choice which consistently changes. Lovely touch that the chef comes out to carve the roast and serve you on a Sunday. Great atmosphere- lovely country pub.

Seemed like a lovely place to stop for drinks. I sure had a nice evening there and the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend but can't vouch for food as we went for drinks.
Wow, we stumbled across the Woolpack whilst on a walk from The Painswick as it was just opening. Fantastic English country pub with commanding views across the valley. As it transpires it was the local boozer of Laurie Lee (him of Cider with Rosie fame). After you finish your pint nip over to the church graveyard opposite to spot his grave.
