Huge pub in a (somewhat controversially) converted auction house. Great roof terrace with interesting views across the Bath rooftops. Obviously, they serve Hall and Woodhouse beers, which I'm a fan of (H&W is a brewery with a couple of hundred pubs, but as far as I know this is the only one that is just named after the brewery). The food in the first floor restaurant is good too.
A really nice setting to have a drink or eat food. I've been for breakfast and lunch. Each time it has a been a really relaxed atmosphere and the food has been great. There's a range of seating from benches to sofas to dining table and chairs. There are board games to entertain both adults and children. The staff have always been friendly and offered good customer service.
5-6, Edgar Buildings, George St, Bath BA1 2DU, UK – 01225 789050
Spotlessly clean, lovely seating areas, with a different feel to different parts of the restaurant, including cozy lounge area, and outside seating. Food was very good, lots of choice, reasonably priced. Excellent location , walking distance to all popular sights in Bath.
Great people. Good food and excellent cocktail. Buy 1 get 1 free everyday 🤣🤣
3 John St, Bath BA1 2JL, UK – 01225 428889
Once part of the Bath Ales stable, has now been absorbed by St Austell brewery Cornwall. Other than some new beers on the pumps, nothing noticeable has changed. Sally, the 'head girl' here, has very good customer relation skills
Excellent bar staff, really good food, lovely atmosphere, throughly recommend.
Walcot St, Bath BA1 5BG, UK – 01225 462463
Wow. This is hands down the best Thai food I've had in the UK. So much so I didn't even take a picture. The food is served very quickly but quality does not suffer. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite too. Coconut rice is a must.
The best Thai Green Curry I have ever had in my entire life. Highly recommended.
Beau Nash House, Saw Close, Bath BA1 1EU, UK – 01225 330030
Very Italian like decoration, friendly staff and helpful when asked for wine and food recommendations. Pizza could not be improved as it truly tastes Italian. Quite atmosphere with Italian music in the background. No over priced. It was a perfect option for a late dinner, making us feel not in much trouble although we arrived after 9:00pm.
Intimate surroundings. Good food. Good service. Very keen to make your visit as good as possible.
17 Kingsmead Square, Bath BA1 2AE, UK – 01225 445253
Looks can be deceiving! Continue to deliver great food here, not only is the food quality pretty high but the portion sizes are decent so you definitely won't go hungry. Would highly recommend for a low key dinner to please your taste buds!
Relatively cheap Thai food (for Bath) and quick bite nearby the centre. Good quality. Big offering but also small and cheaper lunch menu. Jazz music and organic wines
25 Widcombe Parade, Bath BA2 4LD, UK – 01225 446020
Incredible place, cheap, amazing selection of food and truly welcoming staff, great place
Good solid authentic Chinese food at descent prices, good service. Worlds away from the average takeaway.
23 Bathwick St, Bath BA2 6NY, UK – 01225 420006
We were looking for something to eat as it was quite late. We saw the sign from the street and saw it was Chinese and decided to give it a try as the reviews were positive. They were friendly despite the late hour and food was delivered quickly and freshly cooked. The portions were a very decent size and the food was excellent. The food seems to be very authentic and you should be careful when ordering. We ordered two dishes and the mandarin beef was fantastic. The other dish was also fresh but unfortunately not too my taste but it smelled good and looked amazing.
This is not a pub. Amazing Chinese restaurant serving Szechuan and Northwest Chinese dishes. 6 stars if Google permitted 🙂
1-2 New St, Bath BA1 2AF, UK – 01225 466377
Very small restaurant so make sure you book if you want to guarantee a table. Food tasty with good portions. We had the set menu 1 - mixed starters, duck and pancakes, choice of 3 main dishes - which is such a good idea, special fried rice. Really worth visiting.
Great friendly service, the manager greated each customer personally and the food was amazing
9-10 High St, Bath BA1 5AQ, UK – 01225 464631
My partner and I are vegan, when we called to make a reservation they called us shortly after to confirm to us that it was a vegetarian restaurant which would have been really helpful if were unsuspecting meat eaters. The restaurant has a beautiful interior and outside view. The staff were friendly and never leaving us too long to order or have a drink top up. The food was delicious (vegan menu) and at a reasonable price. Would definitely visit again next time we are in Bath.
Food was fine, not the best by far in my opinion. Staff could have been a little bit more attentive.
8A Quiet St, Bath BA1 2JS, UK – 01225 422323
I can't fault it. It smells incredible every time you walk past and the taste is no different. Everything me and my friend had was top-quality. the decor is more than a little impressive as well!
Vast but decent first floor Indian restaurant. Caters to a wide ranging clientele - from big groups, to individuals, to families, to couples.
140 Walcot St, City Centre, Bath BA1 5BL, UK – 01225 464956
Very good food. good prices and friendly staff.
Great curries from this authentic take away. The food is cooked in plain sight, (a good sign!) and is always tasty and delicious.
39 Gay St, Bath BA1 2NT, UK – 01225 427919
Celebrated my birthday here with friends and family. Amazing fresh tasty food & really attentive service.. super organised & professional as we were a large group. Thanks once again everything😊😆😃
Went a few years ago but still remember it well. Good authentic Italian wine and food, with a good atmosphere. Good for a quiet evening meal.right in the centre. Just returned & is still good for a quiet meal( although it was a Monday). The antipasti of meat was really good and the Italian wine was ok. Pasta however was not that great. Good location as just out of the 'busy' area.

Best Italian I have ever been to. They have the best carbonara in the world, I absolutely loved it! Really nice as well. They serve really good olive oil with very good bread. I'm visiting bath this summer only because of this Italian. 10/10 would recommend
Fantastic restaurant! Authentic Italian food, perfectly prepared, cooked and presented. Staff are friendly and attentive. Price is excellent value for money. Highly recommend you book in advance though as this place is understandably popular!
10 N Parade, Bath BA2 4AL, UK – 01225 330236
Traditional Italian restaurant. Lovely setting in historic basement vaults. Attentive and friendly service. Massively popular with tourists due to its fantastic Trip Advisor rating, and for birthdays (the waiters sing Happy Birthday in Italian!). Worthy of 5 stars were it not for the somewhat limited veggie options and the relatively unchanging menu. Worth a visit.
Loved this place. Wonderful authentic food. Decor and atmosphere is lovely. Staff were very attentive and friendly, giving excellent service. Kept our water topped up constantly! We were even given a complimentary shot at the end of the meal. Would definitely return again.
2 North Parade Passage, Bath BA1 1NX, UK – 01225 446059
Amazing food and great little restaurant. It serves vegetarian food only (and I'm not a vegetarian as it happens). However, I wouldn't consider it just a great vegetarian restaurant it is a great restaurant with no caveat. The food is of a fantastic quality and staff are friendly and relaxed. It's quite a small place but has a good atmosphere. As a Bath resident I consider it one of the best restaurants in Bath and happily recommend to meat eating friends.
Superb food - all vegetarian / vegan. And a great, innovative way to serve a tasting menu - choose any selection of small plates, and the chef will work out the most appropriate order in which to serve them, tailored to you. Very friendly staff, attentive service. One of the best restaurants in Bath.
1 Pierrepont St, Bath BA1 1LB, UK – 01225 420084
Best vegan breakfast I've ever had. Coffee was fantastic as was the service. Interesting decor and good music. Seemed relatively quiet first thing on a Friday and Saturday so we didn't wait long for service. Thoroughly recommend visiting here if you are vegan, vegetarian or like good food.
Amazing vegan food, very impressive dishes and good sized portions. Perfect for a romantic meal out or a nice dinner out. Great selection of desserts and lovely coffee. Staff are super friendly and always happy to help, a must go place for any vegan or vegetarian in Bath
12 Pierrepont St, Bath BA1 1LA, UK – 01225 442299
One of the best restaurants in Bath. Great tasting food in cosy surroundings. Floor cushion dining room is good fun. The owner is attentive and helpful. Service is good. Prices OK. The restaurant gets very busy so it's better to book ahead.
Great food and a friendly atmosphere in this unusual local restaurant. Only complaint is that I've tended to find Nepalese food has a fairly narrow taste profile - the differences between various dishes is quite subtle. Really accommodating for large groups with quick delivery of lots of good.
5-6 Saw Cl, Bath BA1 1EN, UK – 01225 312341
The best expresso martini in Bath and we tried quite a few. Friendly and inviting it will be on my list of places to visit next time I'm in Bath
Decent small cocktail bar. Great bar man. Great drinks. Not the best seating.
15 - 19 George St, Bath BA1 2EN, UK – 01225 585100
Great cocktails; decent beers on tap and bottled, though not as many good craft options as you'd expect these days. Smart and courteous staff. Lots of nooks and crannies to cost up in. Good for couples, dates, and small groups.
Fantastic bar in a very trendy area of Bath. Cocktails are great as are the beers.
3 Queen St, Bath BA1 1HE, UK – 01225 462457
Everything you want a gun bar to be. Fantastic selection of gins and mixers and bar staff that know and love gin. I had a fantastic evening sampling hard to find gins and having some lovely drinks mixed, mostly at the bartenders digression. Surprisingly affordable too considering the quality and service. Atmosphere is perfect as well!
Second year in Bath, second time at the gin bar. It was our first stop and by no mistake. It's all about the vibe, my better half tells me. Well, even a half full bar had the right vibe. Speakeasy with a fantastic selection of gin. Over 200, if you are counting. London prices for cocktails, but well worth it.
