Pub Food with Reviews, Maps and Links to their websites

King William

36 Thomas St, Bath BA1 5NN, UK – 01225 428096

Visited today as I was passing by and fancied a snack. The inside of the pub is cozy and quaint looking. I arrived towards the end of food service but was given a warm welcome nonetheless. I ordered a pie from the bar menu. Service was very fast and, although the serving size was small, it was perfect for the price and was very filling. The pie itself was delicious and it paired very well with the chutney. I had a chance to speak to the chef and I was told that the pies are homemade and we're in fact made this morning. I will definitely come again and would absolutely recommend.

Good food. Freshly cooked. Traditional pub to slightly higher end. Always good service.

Hall & Woodhouse

1 Old King St, Bath BA1 2JW, UK – 01225 469259

Just had dinner at the Hall & Woodlouse. Lovely place and good atmosphere. They allow dogs on the ground floor (this was the main reason we chose the place). Our food arrived super fast, our waitress was super attentive and our meal was delicious. Cannot fault it. 10/10. Highly recommend. We are very happy customers including our pooch 😀 PS: also good value for money!

What a lovely place to chill out and have a drink and food with friends. My husband is feeling unwell but staff have gone out of their way to provide some toast which is not on the menu. Fab staff and great place to eat and drink 👍

The Salamander

3 John St, Bath BA1 2JL, UK – 01225 428889

Great pub food in a very nice atmosphere

Delicious food and well kept beer. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Thai Basil Restaurant

90A Walcot St, Bath BA1 5BG, UK – 01225 462463

Wow. This is hands down the best Thai food I've had in the UK. So much so I didn't even take a picture. The food is served very quickly but quality does not suffer. The staff are incredibly friendly and polite too. Coconut rice is a must.

As a Thai, I can say that this is the best Thai food restaurant in Bath. All the dishes is nicely done and the taste is very close to some of the best dishes I eat at home. The price is also very reasonable and the staffs are also very friendly.

Amarone Restaurant - Italian Restaurant - Bath

Beau Nash House, Saw Close, Bath BA1 1EU, UK – 01225 330030

Very Italian like decoration, friendly staff and helpful when asked for wine and food recommendations. Pizza could not be improved as it truly tastes Italian. Quite atmosphere with Italian music in the background. No over priced. It was a perfect option for a late dinner, making us feel not in much trouble although we arrived after 9:00pm.

Great welcoming staff , the guy in the door very professional and gentle which gives very good impression. The staff are very friendly and warm we been served by odilia she's absolutely excellent , the food so delicious and made properly as I ordered.. the prices a little high. I highly recommend it 👍

Peking Restaurant

Superb family business from Kwhan and his trilingual assistant Albert. I remember ordering champagne finger bowls and they obliged. Same management for 25 years!

Hon Fusion is the best Chinese restaurant in the Bath, even better than the restaurant in the China town!!!! Every food on the menu is fabulous!!! Recommended for everyone!!! 一家放在国内也不会差的餐厅!

Got takeaway from here - good food, nicely seasoned and not greasy - will come again!

丰瑞楼 (Fengrui Chinese Restaurant)

23 Bathwick St, Bath BA2 6NY, UK – 01225 420006

Their cuisines tasted very good. The raw materials were fresh. The options are abundant. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a try of Chinese cuisine.

The lady boss was very nice and the dish well stands for northern and Sichuan cuisine of China. Highly recommended.

The Eastern Eye

8A Quiet St, Bath BA1 2JS, UK – 01225 422323

Delicious food. Defiantly one of the best Indian restaurants in town. Service can be slow but worth the wait. The building is very spacious and comfortable. There are a lot of tables but you don't feel crowded.

Wonderful atmosphere - in a high-ceiling space which used to be a bank; lovely hand-printed walls with Indian motif. Gorgeous and varied curries. Lovely staff that genuinely cares about the restaurant.

Joya Restaurant

6 Newmarket Row, Bath BA2 4AN, UK – 01225 460240

Linguine Marinara 3/5 - Too much salt. Lacks the richness of the "garlic and white wine sauce", but the tomato sauce was light and fresh. Though at £12.95 I'd expect much better. Tiramisu 2/5 - Sadly, a cacophony of textures and flavors. The ratio between the cream and sponge was unfortunately off, leaving the balance of taste at odds. The environment was overall pleasant.

Very nice restaurant with great itealian food. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of food and the location of the restaurant. Make sure to book on a Saturday as it gets busy !

Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

Acorn Vegetarian Kitchen

2 N Parade Passage, Bath BA1 1NX, UK – 01225 446059

First time at the restaurant a lovely cosy quirky place. Situated at one of Bath great little alleyways. I am not a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination but my new partner is. But one thing I am is a foodie. All I can say is absolutely stunning meal, from the staff being wonderful and not rushing this even though it took us 2 1/2 hours to have our dinner to the presentation which was exquisite and the taste explosion was divine. Complimented by the wine that was chosen to go with the meals for anyone that loves food this place is a must. The only downside is I didn't have enough room for desert so I'm going to have to go back.

My partner and I are both committed veggies, love good food and love to cook. We were genuinely excited to find out about this restaurant and were looking forward to come and eat here. But....I'm sorry Acorn but I only give 3 stars - stars awarded because the food was actually good. However, the way the food was delivered, and the space in which it is consumed, simply doesn't match the care and consideration that is clearly coming from the kitchen. Regards the food - the portions were not large, but what was offered was well presented and tasty. Good, creative vegetarian and vegan cooking. The chocolate and coffee ganache was a crowning glory, very good indeed and, for me, the excellent desert went quite a way to make up for the other disappointing bits which were undermining the chef's good work downstairs. The not so good bits - ownership might like to take note - Acorn is nearly something very good. However, we couldn't equate the skill and care of the kitchen with what goes on front of house. Food served with dirty crockery, dirty tables and waiting staff who appear to lack awareness of what makes good service - which in my opinion, must extend beyond a simple carry from kitchen to table. We're gonna give it a few months and come back...wishing you every success!

The Green Rocket

1 Pierrepont St, Bath BA1 1LB, UK – 01225 420084

I really want to give this place 5 stars - the menu was excellent, the flavours spot on, the coffee was perfect (great roast), it was affordable (especially for bath) and the feel and design was great. I'm a vegan and I really want to promote great vegan offerings. However, though the service was very courteous, although I only ordered two items (their burger and a flat white) and was dining alone - it took them the entire meal, and two reminders, for my flat white to appear. Upon finally delivering it my waiter was thoroughly apologetic and comped the drink with out any sort of request, which was very sweet. Also I know first hand that vegan burgers can be hard to adequately bind, but their brown rice and sun dried tomato burger was laughable it fell apart so badly. Tasted great! But in function it was easier to eat as a rice dish than a burger. This all sounds negative but it was very tasty and otherwise extremely pleasant.

Great place to eat, friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of clearly marked vegan and g/f options. Fast service considering our visit was at lunchtime, 12.30. Lovely food. I will return when next in Bath.

Yak Yeti Yak Restaurant

12 Pierrepont St, Bath BA1 1LA, UK – 01225 442299

Lovely and tasty food. Came for a different experience and really enjoyed it. We were on a low table (no chairs!) which added to the ambience. Quick service and friendly staff. Overall excellent.

It took a learning curve to figure out the menu but once we did, the appetizer and 6 dishes we order for 4 people, were fantastic and everyone like them all.. Service was attentive, good team work, and very accommodating. Neat little basement spot. We'll return when in Bath.

Wine Bars and Cocktail Bars

Vino Vino Wine & Cocktail Bar - Bath

5-6 Saw Cl, Bath BA1 1EN, UK – 01225 312341

OK for quick snack with a drink. Food was reasonable but nothing to rave about. Service was ok. My 18 year old daughter would not have been served on her own as it was after 6pm. Go figure ....?

A simply fantastic wine bar. Large selection by the glass, and some outstanding value items by the bottle as well. Attentive staff, and a good atmosphere.

Circo Bar

15 - 19 George St, Bath BA1 2EN, UK – 01225 585100

Surprisingly expensive for Bath, considering other great cocktail bars in the centre which are cheaper, but a good space and well curated menu. Good for small groups and events

Lovely space, nice vibe. Cocktails a bit pricey compared to other cocktail bars in Bath.

Opium Bar

The Vaults, Spring Gardens Rd, Bath BA2 6PJ, UK – 01225 332321

This place was awesome, has a kind of prohibition bar feel to it. The venue itself seems pretty unique to me, how often can a bar say it has a well in it? The bar could probably hold about 50 people comfortably but does get a little hot. The drinks menu is fairly large and isn't full of boring everyday cocktails. The price is a little high in my opinion but everything else makes it worth the while. Not sure what the disabled access is like though as it has steps to go in as the venue is under the street!

Gorgeous interior with a strong incense smell. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff who always come up with a good music selection.
